Transaction Banking Solutions provide tailored working capital solutions, including payables, receivables, cash and treasury management and more that allow our customers to: Innovate and revolutionise the way they can interact with their customers, Drive cost out of their business, Mitigate fraud, operational and transition risk, and Deliver business growth faster with analytics and insights from the largest Australian bank.

As transaction banking product specialists, we support the GIBC relationship management team in delivering solutions to institutional customers.. As a Director you will work closely with a combination of internal stakeholders and external customers to deliver strategic outcomes for the business.  External stakeholders include core contacts within a client’s Treasury and Finance functions to understand core strategic and business operations challenges and to support with the identification of actions and solutions.

Internally, you will be required to work across a combination of business partners across strategy, product and coverage functions to bring the best of the bank to our clients.  This role will provide unique insights to our relationship management and product teams.

Further responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Support the Executive Director, Strategy & Business Performance and Managing Director, Transaction Banking Solutions, growing and progressing our client consulting proposition and associated activity.
  • Drive our customer engagement as part of our Client Consulting team, where we look to support frontline and elevate our relationship to trusted partner with our clients.
  • Design and Perform workshops based on meeting targeted needs of our customers.
  • Provide coaching to our frontline teams on customer working capital and their processes.
  • Engage with product and implementation partners to provide expertise to our clients on key industry trends and showcasing the innovation on our product development roadmap.
  • Provide voice of customer feedback and support engagement with customers to develop quality insights into the customer experience.
  • Work with relationship and specialist teams to identify and progress cross-sell opportunities with our clients.
  • Identify and take accountability for delivering continuous improvement opportunities across the team and stakeholders
  • Actively contribute to the team to ensure a positive team culture and support a safe and diverse workplace for all team members, customers, and visitors

  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skills and ability to build a strong rapport with clients and work colleagues 
  • Knowledge of transaction banking products and services including payments, cash management and merchant solutions desirable 
  • Risk Mindset – All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss, and act on current and future risks. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, business administration, information technology or a related field (or experience to reflect the same) 
  • Prior experience in finance transformation, financial services, information technology, consulting, transaction banking, or a related field.
