Supervises employees who operate equipment used to manufacture products. Maintains inventory records of raw materials used in batch manufacturing. Ensures accurate and up-to-date batch records and data sheets on batches in process. Oversee in-process tests (such as hardness, weight, variation, pH and moisture content) to ensure that batches meet specifications. Resolves equipment and product problems. Incumbents in this job family are typically responsible for directing and guiding the work of teams and/or individuals. Typically incumbents would be responsible for performance reviews, pay reviews, and may have hire/fire decision making authority. In limited instances, incumbents in this management job level category may also be responsible for a functional area and not have people reporting to them. There are different levels available that provide clarity on contribution expectations based on knowledge, application, problem solving, impact, collaboration, and supervision.
