The Bath Health and Wellness Center Emergency Department offers 24-hour emergency care with board-certified, emergency medicine physicians who are available around-the-clock to provide comprehensive care to adults and children. Backed by the full resources of Cleveland Clinic Akron General and Cleveland Clinic, the Emergency Department provides advanced care in the Bath community. As an RN on the team, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. Here, you will have the chance to earn additional certifications, develop your skills, participate in unit-based council and have further involvement within the community.
A caregiver in this position works varying shifts, 7:00AM – 7:30PM or 7:00PM – 7:30AM. It is required to work 48 hours per 6-week period.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within one year of hire
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC - adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric) upon hire or within 24 months of beginning work in the Emergency Department
External applicants: two years of recent related nursing experience
Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience, but post orientation/90-day probationary period, could be considered with the Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval
Will consider licensed military RN experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Two years of Emergency Department experience
Critical care experience
