Xylem Auburn - Goulds Water Technology has 2 open positions (Industrial & Residential Value Stream Managers)

A great Value Stream Manager doesn’t just optimize processes—they empower teams, eliminate waste, and drive execution where strategy meets the shop floor. You will tackle processes for general management, sales financial akum, supply chain operations and work closely with the Logistics, Planning, Materials and Continuous Improvement teams. P&L for each position is valued at $180 million in revenue

Position is Onsite with two to four direct reports and several extended reports. Work Hours – 7/8 AM to 4/5 PM First Shift

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop value stream supervisors, engineers, and production teams to achieve performance targets
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure effective communication across all shifts and departments

Operational Performance

  • Own the value stream’s key performance indicators (KPIs) — safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost
  • Manage daily operations and production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize flow
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement countermeasures to improve throughput and efficiency

Continuous Improvement / Lean Leadership

  • Champion Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S, standard work, visual management, and kaizen
  • Facilitate value stream mapping sessions to identify improvement opportunities
  • Drive waste reduction and lead root cause problem-solving (A3, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute the annual value stream plan in alignment with plant and corporate objectives
  • Participate in capacity planning, capital budgeting, and workforce forecasting
  • Collaborate with supply chain, quality, maintenance, and engineering to ensure seamless production flow

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental standards
  • Promote proactive safety culture through training, risk assessments, and employee engagement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree with 5 – 10 years of experience supply chain operation
  • Green belt plus
  • Association for Supply Chain Management certification

The estimated salary range for this position is $93,900 to $150,000 plus a 15% bonus.   Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.  At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
