Job Summary
The Retail & Industry Solutions Specialist leads the Sales Strategy for named accounts and net new growth in their respective territory. The person acts as a lead for acquiring net new Retail Accounts that represent substantial revenue potential to HP. This role will develop and manage the Retail Account “C” level relationships and drive higher share of wallet within these named accounts.
You will join a dedicated team of Sales Professionals focused on selling and driving the success of HP's Solutions (Point of Sale, Digital Signage, Mobility, Kiosk, Security, Back Office, and Services) into the following vertical markets (Retail, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Govt). You will be the “tip of the spear” and drive a sales leadership role on the team that identifies, qualifies, and develops key Retail and Industry accounts.
The candidate must demonstrate a strong knowledge of industry technology, understanding competitor's products, knowledge of AI and current trends. Being able to communicate effectively with varied audiences including “C” level, store operations, business owners, and IT staff are critical to success. Hunting net new business is your passion.
The representative will drive demand creation activity and work with our partner ecosystem to overachieve revenue goals through effective sales strategy execution in net new and current customers. The role is a quota\results driven position.
Candidates for the Retail Solutions Specialist: Sales Executives will have demonstrated experience in field selling to both existing and new acquisition end user accounts; developing & expanding partner relationships; creating & executing territory coverage business plans; and strong business acumen skills developed through executive relationships and interaction. Knowledge of the Retail Industry and engagement model is important to further HP relationships and better HP solutions. Additionally, this candidate will have demonstrated performance as an individual contributor to consistently meet and exceed their quota objectives.
• This role is responsible for leveraging deep product knowledge to build client relationships and devise sales strategies for revenue growth. The role maintains a strong sales pipeline and collaborates across departments for seamless customer experiences. The role acts on client feedback, supports account managers in negotiating contracts, and mentors junior team members.
Responsibilities
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of the organization's products or services, including technical details, features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
• Builds strong relationships with key client stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and business goals to offer tailored solutions.
• Develops and implements sales strategies to meet and exceed targets driving revenue growth.
• Collaborates with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure a seamless customer experience and alignment of strategies.
• Provides support to account managers in managing client relationships, driving pursuits, and renewing contracts.
• Leads contract negotiations and pricing discussions with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
• Develops a robust long-term sales pipeline to enhance the organization’s market presence in a specialized area.
• Acts upon client feedback in collaboration with internal teams to improve the quality of products or services and strengthen client relationships.
• Shares expertise and best practices with junior team members, providing guidance and mentorship to help them achieve their sales goals.
• Stays informed about industry developments and competitor activities to identify target markets, create pricing strategies, and set sales goals.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in technical selling, consultative selling, account management, or a related field.

The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is $177,800.00 to $273,800.00 annually, with a 60/40 (salary/incentive) mix. There are additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
