You will:
- Drive effective cross-functional communication among stakeholders including sales, logistics operations, demand planning, product supply and external partners
- Achieve KPIs targets including customer service, invoice accuracy, overdues and deductions through effective implementation of processes
- Development, coach, delegate and lead a team that can drive the business agenda and give them the opportunity to grow in the organization
- Focus on account or channel-specific initiatives in efficient replenishment and availability while driving the implementation of joint value-creation initiatives identified through customer collaboration
- Deliver enhanced service by driving the implementation of customer supply chain improvement initiatives and building deep relationships with the customer

About the Role:
Wacam is seeking a highly experienced and strategically-minded Credit & Collections Lead who will lead the area at the regional level and will be responsible for transforming it and leading its new strategy, to spearhead our credit management and cash collection activities. This pivotal role demands a leader with a strong finance background in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, exceptional business acumen, and a proven track record in transforming processes and developing high-performing teams. You will play a critical role in minimizing financial risk, optimizing working capital, and fostering strong relationships both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Management & Collections Oversight: Oversee all aspects of credit management and cash collection activities, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to best practices.
- Risk Mitigation: Minimize overdue accounts, clear claims and deductions in an accurate and timely manner, and actively monitor and mitigate credit risk to reduce bad debt write-offs.
- Strategic Credit Risk Management: Develop and implement customer credit risk management strategies, define effective collection strategies and worklists, manage new customer onboarding, conduct ongoing credit assessments, and maintain accurate risk categories and credit limits.
- Policy Enforcement: Adopt, communicate, and enforce the global credit policy across the organization.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong, in-person relationships with major customers and collaborate closely with sales and finance functions to achieve shared objectives.
- Team Leadership & Development: Ensure the technical proficiency of the bill-to-cash staff. Manage, mentor, and develop the team responsible for credit analysis and receivables collection through comprehensive training and skills development programs.
- External Representation: Represent Wacam in professional credit groups and effectively manage high-risk accounts and bankruptcy proceedings.
- Compliance: Ensure staff awareness of and strict compliance with all legal issues pertaining to credit and collection activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Extensive Finance Experience: 15-20 years of progressive experience in business finance roles, with a significant portion dedicated to credit and collections.
- Specialized Expertise: A minimum of 8-10 years of advanced expertise specifically within Credit & Collections or closely related areas.
- Industry Background: Proven experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector is essential.
- Leadership Acumen: Demonstrated experience in leading, managing, and developing teams.
- Process Transformation: A track record of successfully driving and implementing process transformation initiatives.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (written and spoken). B2 at least, non negotiable.

- Business Acumen: Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
