Position Summary...
Own end-to-end network flow strategy and execution optimization to enable scalable SKU growth, predictable product movement, and efficient use of capacity across Walmart’s distribution network. This role bridges network design and in-network execution, translating advanced analytics into measurable availability, GMV, and cost impact.
What you'll do...
- Design flexible, multi-tier network flow strategies that optimize SKU placement, availability, and cost across FC, RDC, FDC, and IDC nodes.
- Define SKU-level flow paths, including BreakPack and full-case strategies, to unlock network optionality and resilience.
- Build outbound smoothing, release timing, and dynamic batching capabilities aligned with pick-start windows and transportation schedules.
- Optimize capacity balancing and bottleneck reduction across the network to improve throughput and service stability.
- Develop optimization models and dashboards to monitor flow performance, identify constraints, and support executive decisions.
- Partner with Inventory Planning, Transportation, and Operations to ensure strategies are executable and scalable.
What you'll bring...
- Quantitative degree (OR, IE, Data Science, Math, Statistics, or similar).
- 2+ years of experience with Python and SQL.
- Experience with network flow, scheduling, batching, or capacity optimization.
- Strong analytical rigor paired with operational judgment.
- Ability to communicate complex models as clear business actions.
Bonus: Supply chain or logistics experience; Power BI, Dataiku, simulation tools, or enterprise data platforms.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
