The hourly pay rate for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.

Who We're Looking For

We are currently looking to hire a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will have:

• Operate radiographic equipment and positioning
• Administer medications
• Apply or change bandages
• Draw blood and run lab tests (in-house and send out labs)
• Fill medication
• Take vitals (TPR)
• Take history from the client for patient exams
• Have good knowledge of the latest parasiticides
• Administer vaccinations
• Give subcutaneous fluids
• And all other tasks of a Veterinary Assistant

Requirements:

• 1+ years of veterinary experience
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
