Technical Support Engineer

Introduction to the job

Technical Support Engineer (TSE) Provides technical equipment support to ASML field service engineers and customers by analyzing and solving complex technical equipment problems. Responsible for creating forward looking action plans, both remote and - when needed - in the customer fab to execute complex technical actions. Acts as a diagnostics expert with in-depth equipment knowledge on installed base systems and new products. Responsible for identifying and recognizing structural issues, finding workarounds to mitigate issues and driving structural issue resolution via the corresponding channels in the central organization

• 설치된 장비와 신제품에 대한 깊은 장비 이해를 기반으로 하드웨어/소프트웨어 문제를 지원하고, 안정적인 장비 운영을 위한 선제적 액션 플랜을 수립·수행
• 반복적으로 발생하는 구조적 문제를 식별하고, 단기적인 우회 방안을 마련하며, 중앙 조직과 협업해 근본 원인 해결을 주도

Role and responsibilities
•    Provide support to internal and external customers by solving escalated problems and providing information to ensure the optimum machine performance criteria are met in the field
•    Develops and implements solutions to unusual and complex technical problems escalated from field service or by customers. Escalates problems to Equipment support per ASML procedure including complete and accurate data and problem descriptions.
•    Perform data analysis of systems to resolve problems and/or to improve system performance.
•    Escalate problems to GSC and D&E in accordance with ASML escalation process including complete and accurate data and problem descriptions.
•    Perform analysis of structural issues that are identified at our customers and escalate with improvement suggestions to develop structural solutions.
•    Develop and implement solutions to unusual and complex technical problems escalated from field service or by customers

Experience
•    Bachelor's degree or above in an Engineering field or equivalent.
: Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Semiconductor, (Applied) Physics related major
• 2-5 years in customer support engineering(Semi or other high-tech industry) *반도체 계측 시스템, 반도체 제조 시스템 또는 반도체 장비 경력 우대
•    Experience in semiconductor service engineering or research

Education
•    BS or Master Degree in an Engineering discipline.
•    Experience should encompass working with and understanding issues in the lithographic semi-conductor manufacturing process
•    Experience in the knowledge of Optics, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer science and related disciplines or equivalent experience

Source / Illumination

• General knowledge of electronics / optics / sensor & actuator / physics / pneumatic  / MS office (Excel, Power point) / Matlab
• Troubleshooting, managing and improving performance of
• Vessel system for tin management with heaters and gas
• High pressure gas system for Tin droplet generation
• Plasma generation, optimization and control with vessel camera metrology
• Collector / Illuminator / Projection optics for EUV power management
• Dose control

• General knowledge of Scanner / Vessel / Vacuum / Water cooling / Gas supply system / Defectivity
• Temperature control system of Scanner and Source system
• Maintain operating gas supplies (H2, N2, Ar, XCDA, or etc)
• Vacuum systems cleanliness and confirmation
• Awareness of H2 gas safety
• Data analysis of particle source

Escalation Lead

• Lead communication with escalation organizations and maintain Service Order priority 
• Ensure Service Order quality & thoroughness including PCCSIM and back-end call handling 
• Maintain local escalation WOW and guide stakeholders accountable to escalation procedures 
• Contribute to make Lean organization by driving team to find the continuous improvement 
• Request onsite support if necessary 
• Monitor and report on critical and urgent escalations 
• Identify lessons learned to prevent future escalations 
• Assist Fab Team to initiate escalation with Competency Team and/or Escalation Management Office if necessary 
• Contribute to customer interface to deliver ASML state and to align the expectations
