The Role

AspenTech is looking for a Director of Digital Experience to own and evolve the company's web presence across corporate, product, and customer-facing properties. This role reports to the VP of Marketing and sits at the intersection of brand, lead generation, user journeys and technology, working cross-functionally with Marketing, IT, Product and customer-facing organizations.
The right candidate has done this before in a B2B environment, knows what it takes to run a web program at scale, and is comfortable operating where strategy meets execution.

Your Impact

  • The end-to-end digital experience across AspenTech's corporate website, microsites, and customer portals
  • A dedicated web team, providing day-to-day leadership, direction, and development
  • The relationship with IT Applications, translating marketing needs into technical requirements and vice versa
  • Web performance: traffic, engagement, conversion, and lead quality, tracked and reported with rigor
  • The roadmap for UX improvement, informed by analytics, A/B testing, and direct user research
  • Digital brand expression, ensuring AspenTech's positioning is reflected consistently across all web properties, including a cutting-edge digital presence in AI

What You'll Work On

This role is responsible for elevating AspenTech's web presence to match the company's market position as a leader in asset optimization software and industrial AI. That means owning the full user journey across digital properties, from first visit to conversion, and ensuring every touchpoint reflects the brand with clarity and purpose. Day to day, you'll translate web analytics into prioritized action, lead a roadmap of UX and content improvements, and build the scalable infrastructure that supports demand generation at a global scale. You'll also serve as the primary point of accountability for digital performance metrics, bringing regular reporting and strategic recommendations to Marketing leadership.

What You'll Need

  • 10+ years in digital marketing, web strategy, or digital experience, with at least 3 years leading a team
  • Proven experience managing large-scale website programs, including agency relationships and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong command of CMS platforms, SEO, and web analytics
  • B2B Expertise: Deep understanding of the B2B buyer journey, ideally within industrial software, AI, or high-tech sectors
  • Fluency in both marketing and technical conversations, you'll need to earn trust on both sides
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus

How You Work

While you bring a point of view to the data, you leverage those data insights to help educate and influence your stakeholders on the desired outcome of web assets. You can hold a strategic conversation with an executive and a technical one with a developer on the same day. You know how to lead a Digital Experience team and can envision where the team needs to be in the future.

The salary range for this role is $170,000.00 - $191,250.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, charitable giveback day, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement benefits to eligible employees.
