Summary:
The Major Gifts Officer reports to the Director of Major Gifts and is an integral member of the Individual Giving Team and GLIDE’s Fund Development Department. Primary responsibilities include active management of a portfolio of approximately 100-125 donors and major gift prospects capable of making five-figure gifts or higher[AH1] [KL2] ; development of written materials for donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities; and prospect research to grow the prospect research network of philanthropists engaged with and supporting GLIDE.
 
The Major Gifts Officer (MGO) is responsible for identifying and hosting donor cultivation and solicitation opportunities through individual meetings, events, and integrated communications (online and print), working in partnership with development and communications staff to build messaging and outreach. This person must work occasional, non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays) and be present at events. Regular and predictable attendance is assumed, with the understanding that meetings will be held both at and outside GLIDE facilities.
