What we do:

The Trade Desk is seeking a Staff Accountant to be part of the GL team. This role will report to the Accounting Manager and will be part of a high caliber Accounting and Finance team. The Staff Accountant will help ensure that all accounting activities are recorded timely and accurately. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, pro-active, eager to learn and contribute to the team.

What you'll do:

  • Assist in the monthly close process including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions.
  • Prepare flux and variance explanations as part of the monthly close process and report it in a useful and understandable manner.
  • Assist the Accounting team in researching, documenting, and implementing the impact of current accounting conventions.
  • Respond to information requests and assist with audits.
  • Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process.
  • Participate in various department-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Assist management with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as needed.

 

Who you are: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a public company or corporate accounting position is a plus
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, while maintaining accuracy of information and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • A self-starter and exceptional team player
  • Ability to juggle multiple high priorities and have a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$57,800$105,900 USD
