Purpose:

The primary purpose of this role is to lead a team to ensure that Salesforce landscape of applications are up and running for business usage and that enhancements are implemented in line with future business requirements.

Key competencies:

  • Certification in the use of Salesforce applications.
  • Experience with Salesforce applications and operations.
  • Experience developing in an enterprise environment such as source code control, continuous deployment, or release management.
  • Experience in enterprise application development or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
  • Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting and communication tools.
  • Ability to focus on end-outcomes and work accordingly to achieve the desired results.

Specific activities required:

  • Manage the allocation of appropriate tasks to team members to maximise productivity and professional development of the team.
  • Monitor and review work undertaken by the team to ensure that they deliver high quality outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Lead full spectrum development on the Salesforce Platform that follows industry best practices.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to create technical designs for enhancements that meet their current and future requirements.
  • As part of cross-functional project teams, participate in application design, configuration, testing and deployment.
  • Identify and prioritise work for the team in line with business requirements to ensure optimal utilisation and timely delivery of services.
  • Provide technical assistance and end-user troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements, and user queries. This covers the Salesforce landscape of applications (eg Salesforce, iCertis, etc).
  • Identify opportunities to improve business and development practices on an ongoing basis.
  • Proactively monitor the Salesforce landscape to keep abreast of latest developments and bring improved practices into BAU operations.
  • Key Stakeholders and Relationship
    • Internal
      • Project Managers and Teams: Work closely with Project Managers and their teams to ensure the successful release of the software application.
      • Business Stakeholders: Work closely with relevant business stakeholders to define detailed requirements for future enhancements and support them with production incidents.
      • Back-end IT teams: Work closely with relevant back-end IT teams such as DBAs, server administrators, security team, testing team to ensure that applications run smoothly and or changes for development are made in accordance with desired outcomes.
    • External
      • Consultants and Service Providers: Engage with external consultants to deliver projects as required.
      • Salesforce Representatives: Work with representatives from Salesforce to install latest upgrades, undertake planned maintenance and ensure good practices are being followed.
