Job Summary:

Sr. Financial Analyst, reporting to the Cash & Investment Manager Responsible for providing management with treasury, compliance, financial data, information, and analysis necessary to make operational, investment, and tactical decisions. This analysis is both routine and ad hoc. It involves interaction with employees at all organizational levels, across multiple disciplines, banking and investment institutions and other companies/consultants outside of the organization. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Purchasing Card (P-Card) program/WORKS system Administrator and related tasks, month-end and year-end tasks, research/resolution of Treasury related issues, participate in the validation of new and existing reporting, projects as assigned, check exception reporting/decisioning, review and perform account analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, assist in investment responsibilities and requirements, back up day to day Treasury operations, assessment and implementation of related products, services, technology within the Treasury arena. Ensuring adherance in accordance with WellStar Health System's policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Backup to Cash & Investment Manager and other Treasury Department staff.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Treasury Responsibilities, requires in office as needed: Purchasing Card (P-Card) program/WORKS system administrator Maintain P-Card related information via WORKS, i.e. users, limits, etc. Procure and deploy P-Cards Maintain MCC Groups Maintain P-Card CBL Submit P-Card balance report and balance statement to notify when P-Card balance paid Issuance of monthly close reminder notices - re: P-Card holders Follow up and resolution of discrepancies Create new and maintain existing P-Card policy and procedures P-Card Audit Other P-Card responsibilities as assigned Other Treasury Responsibilities: Cross train/Backup with/to other Treasury staff Month-end and year-end tasks Journal entries Research/resolution of Treasury related issues as necessary and report to management Participate in the validation of new and existing reporting Check Exception reporting/decisioning Review and perform account analysis Assist in banking, investment responsibilities and requirements Projects as assigned by management Other Duties as assigned: Request for Proposals (RFP's), Contracts, Agreements Recommend, implement and maintain process improvements Prepare interim and year-end audit requests in conjunction with compliance and outside consultants Online banking periodic user audits Banking and merchant services periodic fee audits Prepare interim reporting Assist with banking, governmental regulations and other requirements i.e. annual 990's, bond disclosure/statements, rating agencies Assessment and implementation of related products, services, technology within the Treasury arena Other Ad hoc reporting, projects and duties, as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Accounting or Bachelors Business Administration/Management or Bachelors Finance

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

    Required Minimum Experience:

    Minimum 5 years treasury, finance, accounting, preferably in healthcare. Required

    Required Minimum Skills:

    Detail oriented with above average analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, technical and computer skills. Must be able to communicate well with employees at all levels and across multiple disciplines. Must be able to manage multiple responsibilities/duties.
