As Department Supervisor III, you will oversee the scheduling employees and the technical and administrative functions within your department. Utilizing your experience and managerial skills, you will serve as a technical resource for team members, implementing goals and driving improvement initiatives. This role provides an excellent way to enhance the patient's experience, all while developing new skills, gaining extensive hands-on experience, and finding your place within an innovative hospital setting. This role supports appointments for the Cardiovascular services.  

 

A caregiver in this role works days, from 8:00am—5:00pm. The Supervisor will need to come in earlier or later depending on meetings, etc.   

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Supervise caregivers in daily operations.  

  • Maintain staffing levels.  

  • Approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.  

  • Provide leadership and training.  

  • Coordinate and provide orientation and education.  

  • Analyze workflow and procedures.  

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve procedures, processes, speed, quality and effectiveness.  

  • Ensure cross coverage 

  • Develop an effective work team.  

  • Encourage and support morale building activities.  

  • Communicate with caregivers and provide orientation on policies.  

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Associate’s degree 

  • Two years of related supervisory experience required. 

  • OR High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of experience may substitute the work experience and education requirements 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 

  • Healthcare experience in a large organization 

  • Epic and registration/scheduling experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system

  • In some locations, ability to transport up to 25 pounds 

  • May require the ability to operate various types of powered material handling equipment.
