Software Engineer – MuleSoft Developer, Assurant-GCC, India

The MuleSoft Developer is responsible for successfully designing, developing, testing and supporting clients facing APIs using MuleSoft platform. Integrate with Assurant’s various Policy & Claim systems as well as with external Service Providers’ systems. Working with clients’ IT teams during the integration phase and postproduction support.

This is an exciting project to develop clients facing integration layer of MuleSoft APIs. It is a very fast paced environment, multiple client implementations run in parallel and work closely with client’s IT teams. This project will provide a good visibility across IT and business.

This position will be Remote at our India location. But we are looking for the candidates from Bangalore, Chennai & Hyderabad regions only.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Design, develop & test APIs using MuleSoft – 40%
  • Work with client’s IT teams during integration phase – 20%
  • Production support -  25%
  • Learning & Personal Development – 5%
  • Code reviews, technical debt resolution, non-functional requirements – 10%
  • Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the company. 

What are the requirements needed for this position? 

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a developer capacity building MuleSoft APIs/Applications.
  • Experienced in developing RAML Specifications using design center/tool.
  • Experience using RAML Security schemes, traits, and all advanced RAML development.
  • Hands-on experience in MuleSoft API implementation and sound working knowledge of Anypoint Studio IDE and Anypoint platform tools such as Design Center, API Manager, Runtime, and Exchange.
  • Hands-on development experience in API-Led Connectivity architecture approach (System, Process, and Experience) layer.
  • Experience in designing and developing SOAP and RESTful web services.
  • Hands-on Development experience in writing DataWeave scripts.
  • Hands-on Development experience in using the Salesforce Connectors.
  • Good Understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Dealing with large data volumes and handling large files, Batch, and parallel processing.
  • Experienced designing and implementing pub/sub messaging patterns in integration solutions is a plus.
  • Good understanding of implementing various MuleSoft connectors.
  • Sound Knowledge of how to configure and enforce API Policies.
  • Work with the 3rd Parties for troubleshooting the high-level issues.
  • Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud knowledge are a big plus.
  • Experience with Agile methodology, source control, and branching strategy is a plus.
  • MuleSoft Certification.
