ROLE SUMMARY

  • Patient Services Product Owner is responsible for translating product vision, and business and user needs into prioritized user stories for the product backlog of new features and/or enhancements

  • Owns delivery of product increments within agile teams (squads)

  • Works within a cross-functional team with engineers and designers, and to clarify requirements and delivery expectations with business stakeholders

  • Maintains and refines backlog for clarity, priority, and business value

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Represents the voice of the user with respect to digital product features

  • Refines product backlog with detailed analysis of impact and effort

  • Write and prioritize backlog user stories, focusing on user & business needs and technical requirements

Technical Oversight & Vendor Management

  • Works within a cross-functional team with engineers and designers, and to clarify requirements and delivery expectations with business stakeholders

  • Help teams rapidly and iteratively deliver digital products (or parts of a product) that adds value to the organization

  • Leads planning of the Agile Team’s scrum sprint to reaffirm priorities

Release & Communication Management

  • Own the release calendar, including feature rollout, change control documentation, and stakeholder communications.

  • Prepare and distribute release notes, demo materials, and training guides.

Operational Efficiency & Support

  • Stay 2-3 sprints ahead of team and ensures each feature has a clear definition of done; ensures each feature level deliverable is aligned to a definition of readiness to enter sprint

  • Define and track metrics (e.g., Objectives & Key Results) to measure success and utilize measurements to guide prioritization

  • Coordinate dependencies with the Product Manager and other Product Owners

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Facilitate requirement gathering sessions, workshops, PI planning, and retrospectives.

  • Ensure feedback loops are in place to continuously improve the solution and user experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline

  • 3+ years of experience delivering digital products experience

  • Agile/Lean Development knowledge, training, or experience

  • Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional leaders and technical teams

  • Strong communication skills with ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions

  • Passion for creating user-centric digital and interactive experiences

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for creating user-centric digital and interactive experiences

  • Pharmaceutical or healthcare experience
