Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our Network Drivers Team, responsible for developing and maintaining Linux kernel network drivers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Linux kernel development, excellent leadership skills, and experience working with cross-functional & globally distributed teams and partners.
What You Will Do:
Lead and manage a team of software engineers developing Linux kernel network drivers
Collaborate with external partners to integrate their network drivers into RHEL
Drive technical roadmap and strategy for Network Drivers Team
Ensure high-quality driver development, testing, and release
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
Manage project timelines & resources
Communicate technical plans and progress to stakeholders
What You Will Bring:
Hands-on experience in Linux kernel development
Experience in managing software engineering teams
Knowledge of Linux kernel networking and network drivers
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
Nice to Have:
Experience with open-source software development and communities
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Knowledge of cloud computing and virtualization technologies
Experience working with partners and cross-functional teams
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
