WSECU’s Consumer Loan Servicing department is hiring! If you have experience working with consumer lending products and services in a financial institution and love getting lost in the details—this role might be for you! Your day might include:
- Analyzing new consumer loan activity
- Maintaining files of existing loans using a variety of software tools and daily reports to detect potential transactions in violation of state and federal laws, rules and regulations
- Reviewing and processing title paper work for lien perfections
- Helping branch staff & members navigate WSECU lending products and services
- Performing loan, share, payment, and error adjustments in Symitar and handling loan payoff requests in a timely and accurate manner
- Advising on support requests regarding adjustments, credit reporting, collateral protection insurance and check payments/payoffs
- Assisting with loan correction requests which may require interest calculations, credit reporting, disputes, payment adjustments, and other loan corrections
- Maintaining a detailed knowledge of WSECU consumer loans, processes, products and current promotions through ongoing trainings, department updates and credit union internal communications
- Ensuring accurate and timely filings of all reporting functions related to Consumer Loan Servicing and providing monthly updates to management
- Cross training and supporting daily operations in all areas within the department such as CPI, Titles Pending reports and other various reports
- Responding to requests through mail, email, chat, or webex messaging systems
- Supporting training other Loan Servicing employees, as needed
- Complying with federal regulations and credit union guidelines applicable to loan origination and servicing
- Meeting established handle time goals for email and Fresh Service ticket communication
- Recommending and assisting in implementing process improvements
What you bring to the team:
For Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist I:
Competitive pay: $19.67 - $29.50 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits
- The target starting pay for this position is $19.67 - $24.59 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.
- Two (2) years’ experience with loans or loan servicing
- Experience with Episys/Symitar, Temenos, CUDL and Meridian Link (preferred)
- Requires broad knowledge and practical experience with credit union or financial institution lending operating areas, functions, products and services as well as how compliance is applied
- Able to utilize office automation and operate in a network environment
- Well-developed interpersonal, written and telephone communication skills.
- Requires excellent conceptual, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, ability to work under pressure, and the ability to handle sensitive information
For Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist II:
Competitive pay: $22.00 - $32.99 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits
- The target starting pay for this position is $22.00 - $27.49 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.
- Four (4) years’ experience with loans or loan servicing
- Three (3) years working with Episys/Symitar. Temenos, CUDL and/or Meridian Link systems (preferred)
- Experience with a state DOL/DMV title tracking system (preferred)
- Requires broad knowledge and practical experience with credit union or financial institution lending operating areas, functions, products and services as well as how compliance is applied
- Able to utilize office automation and operate in a network environment
- Using sound judgement with sensitive and confidential information is required, along with exercising effective listening and negotiation skills while communicating in a diplomatic manner
**WSECU is currently hiring a Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist I or II depending on qualifications**
- The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position.
Where we’re located: 330 Union Ave, Olympia WA. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a hybrid position that blends working in-office and from home. Works onsite two (2) occasions per week.
When you’d work: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am -5:30 pm, full time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to meet service needs for this non-exempt position
