Job Summary

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the company's information technology strategy, and digital transformation journey, ensuring that all systems and processes support the company's goals and objectives. The CIO will lead the IT department, allocate capital to various technology investments, and drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, as well as employee and customer engagement. This role ensures that the company's IT infrastructure is robust, secure, and aligned with business objectives while maintaining compliance with data protection regulations. The CIO will lead efforts to safeguard sensitive information, manage data privacy risks, and promote a culture of data security across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company's IT strategy in alignment with business goals, and our long-term strategic vision for growth.
  • Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, applications, and services, including our continued advancement toward a more cloud-based platform.
  • Lead our implementation of Infor’s M3 ERP solution for all major business processes across our 23 Complexes and Corporate functions.
  • Champion our digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the company's data and IT systems with a focus on creating robust and resilient systems, minimizing production downtime.
  • Manage technology investments and budgets, with annual investments of +$50 million, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with other executives to identify and implement technology solutions that support business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, and assess their potential impact on the company. Establish and maintain data privacy policies and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Monitor and assess data privacy risks, implementing measures to mitigate potential threats.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for data protection authorities and manage data breach incidents.
  • Develop and enforce information security policies and protocols to protect the organization's data assets.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential risks.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure security measures are integrated into all business processes.
  • Identify and evaluate IT and data privacy risks, developing strategies to manage and mitigate them.
  • Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats and industry best practices to continuously improve the organization's risk posture.
  • Communicate IT and data privacy strategies, policies, and risks to senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and other departments to ensure alignment on data privacy and security matters.
  • Foster a culture of data protection awareness and compliance throughout the organization.

  • Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, leading large scale change initiatives, enterprise-wide ERP implementations, and digital transformation programs.
  • Experience with Infor and Workday products preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degree in one of these fields preferred).
