WHAT YOU'LL DO:

This position is responsible for delivering and picking up product in a timely and efficient manner.  This position is also responsible for working in the yard/warehouse when not on deliveries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete deliveries in a timely, safe, and efficient manner with boom truck or semi/flatbed with forklift.
• Closely follow all safety procedures to ensure all deliveries and pickups are transported in a safe manner.
• Follow all procedures to completely secure all loads being transported.
• Verify loads are accurate before leaving the site.
• Ensure trucks and equipment are in good working condition.  Report any repairs or maintenance needed to management by filling out a daily Inspection Report.
• Perform and record daily equipment inspections as required by D.O.T. standards for pre-trip and post trip.
• Assist with yard / warehouse tasks as necessary.
• Assist with keeping the yard clean, safe, and organized.
• Work closely with Cemstone Supply Team Members to facilitate a timely and accurate customer order-fulfillment process.
• Complete all other assigned tasks given by management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• High School degree or equivalent.
• One to two years related experience delivering in the construction supply business preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written.   Read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to understand packing lists and delivery tickets.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must have valid MN State DOT Health Card.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Due to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the yard, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing an uneven walking surface.
• The yard environment can be dusty and noisy.
• Interior floors near entrances and exits may become slippery during wet weather conditions.
• May have to handle merchandise and working tools with sharp edges.
• Passing forklifts that emit gas fumes.
• Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as sitting, walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, some of which may weigh more than 50 pounds.
