Your Job:
In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients by providing timely and accurate lab results.

Your Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field
2 years of related medical technology experience or any occupation in which the required experience was gained; OR 4 years of related medical technology experience or any occupation in which the required experience was gained.
• Or for individuals educated outside the United States, a translation of that education (equivalency statement obtained from a business dedicated to this service) that shows equivalence to above requirements.
• Certification/registration or certification/registry eligible as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist is required; Certification to be completed and passed within first 6 months of employment.

Job Summary:

Demonstrate dependable behavior by adhering to attendance policy, completion of tasks in a timely manner, and commitment to peers. Adhere to company and laboratory requirements as stated in policy and procedures. Comply with all safety and infection prevention policies and procedures. Perform quality control procedures and troubleshoot appropriately. Champion innovation and embrace process improvement initiatives. Effectively utilize equipment, computer systems, and other technology. Ensure complete, accurate, and timely delivery of laboratory results. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and co-workers.

Receive, process and analyze clinical lab specimens. Analyze and investigate lab patient results as indicated. Communicate critical lab values to caregivers. Operate and maintain complex lab instruments. Review and update lab procedure manuals. Serve as lead technologist for second shift employees. Train new employees. Assess competency of new and existing employees as indicated by regulatory. Adequately and timely analyze quality control materials. Adequately and timely analyze proficiency/blind samples. Serve as a resource for lab and non-lab staff on test method.
