JOB SUMMARY

This position is hybrid to our corporate office in Tulsa, OK.

Job Profile Summary
Manage corporate planning activities, such as: complex financial planning models, forecasting models, and the annual plan for the various company departments and business segments.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct the monthly financial flash and forecasting process. Supervise employees engaged in those activities

  • Coordinate and direct the development of information for the five-year financial plan

  • Analyze statistical and financial data to determine probable effects of proposals and assumptions

  • Provide information and assistance to management, employees, auditors, and others relative to financial plans and analysis, forecasts, variance explanations, reporting instructions, statistical data, economic studies, policies, and procedures

  • Compile, prepare, verify, and/or approve information and reports including, but not limited to:

  • Financial plans, forecasts, and reports
  • Board of Directors presentations
  • Investor Relation presentations
  • Economic studies
  • Revenue and expense forecast alternatives
  • Communicate regularly with direct reports to establish priorities and help link their contributions with our corporate strategies

  • Where applicable, responsible for the performance and development of employees in their organization

  • Maximize the utilization of the Hyperion System within NGL Corporate Planning

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred but not required

Work Experience

  • Forecasting and analysis experience of 8 or more years with 5 of those years being direct experience

  • Experience in use of software such as: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or Hyperion Planning 

  • Experience and/or training related to:

    • Planning and forecasting calculations

    • Economic forecasting/modeling

    • Energy industry economics and financial analysis functions

    • Financial analysis

    • Financial risk management

    • Company organizational structure and departmental functions

    • Company operations, business drivers and markets

    • Communication skills

    • Report writing

  • Experience analyzing and evaluating budgets and forecasts and defining short and long range financial effects on company programs and policies

  • Experience researching and preparing financial plans, forecasts, economic studies, financial data, and correspondence

  • Experience prioritizing work to meet deadlines

  • Experience reviewing and interpreting financial plans and forecasts, lease agreements, regulations, legal opinions, contracts, company policies and procedures, manuals, reports, and correspondence

  • Experience interacting, advising, and communicating effectively

  • Experience developing information and conducting group and individual presentations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to: apply math, advanced algebra, and statistics

  • Ability to: lead, direct, and/or supervise; knowledge of personnel policies and proced

  • Ability to: communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions; conduct oral presentations and/or meetings

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred or

  • Certified Corporate FP&A Professional preferred, but not required
