Role Description 

As a Production Support Analyst, you will provide application support for our client platforms. We are looking for a self-starter with expertise in issue management, addressing concerns from both external and internal clients to meet KPIs and SLAs.

A core aspect of your role involves ensuring the seamless functioning of deployed applications, emphasizing proactive and reactive measures to champion continuous service improvement.

Team Responsibilities:

  • Manage platform alerts effectively to minimize downtime and disruption.
  • Proactively monitor the platform to identify and address potential issues before they impact service.
  • Provide Application Support, ensuring deployed applications function correctly.
  • Support Incident & Problem Management – analysis, investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of production issues.
  • Assist with Release & Change Management – testing and release processes for production fixes.
  • Facilitate Service Transition between project support and production support for all changes.
  • Support Service Level Management to deliver FNZ services within KPIs, SLAs, and contractual obligations.

Specific Role Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage routine platform checks to ensure system robustness.
  • Contribute to platform maintenance and continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and resolve application issues following agreed procedures.
  • Prioritize and diagnose incidents, investigate causes, and escalate as appropriate.
  • Document and close resolved incidents; analyze root causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and operational teams to produce scalable, compliant solutions.
  • Work with developers, analysts, and testers to ensure production fixes and process changes are fit for purpose.
  • Draft and maintain procedures and documentation for application support.
  • Undertake any other projects/tasks as required to ensure smooth production operations.

Experience required

What we are looking for:

  • Experience: 2–5 years in a relevant role.
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; confident in interacting with platform teams.
  • Incident Management: Familiarity with ITIL or equivalent frameworks.

Experience preferred

Beneficial but not essential:

  • Familiarity with financial markets and products.
  • Experience using application support systems, including PagerDuty, NewRelic, Splunk, and ServiceNow.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft .NET development, including C#, VB.NET, and SQL Server, is advantageous.
