About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Validation Engineer with hands-on experience in HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), SIL (Software-in-the-Loop), and MIL (Model-in-the-Loop) testing for automotive embedded systems. The role focuses on end-to-end verification and validation of ECUs across model, software, and hardware layers within the V-cycle.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and execute MIL, SIL, and HIL test cases for automotive embedded systems
  • Perform requirement analysis and derive test scenarios aligned with system and software requirements
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and validation reports
  • Execute model-level simulations (MIL) and software integration validation (SIL)
  • Validate ECU behavior using HIL setups with real-time simulation environments
  • Perform back-to-back testing between MIL, SIL, and HIL environments
  • Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and track issues through defect lifecycle tools
  • Support automation of validation using scripting such as Python, MATLAB, or CAPL
  • Perform coverage analysis and ensure traceability across requirements and test cases
  • Collaborate with development, system, and integration teams for issue resolution
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of validation strategies, automation, and quality processes

What You Need to Be Successful

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in automotive validation with exposure to HIL/SIL/MIL testing
  • Strong understanding of Model-Based Development (MBD) and V-model lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with tools like MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE, Vector CANoe, ETAS/LABCAR or similar
  • Experience in automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet
  • Knowledge of ECU validation, flashing, and diagnostics tools
  • Solid understanding of test design techniques and defect lifecycle management
  • Exposure to requirement management tools and traceability practices
  • Experience with test automation and scripting
  • Familiarity with ASPICE process and automotive quality standards

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience in ADAS, braking systems, powertrain, or body electronics domains
  • Exposure to fault injection, scenario-based testing, and coverage analysis
  • Experience integrating validation pipelines with CI/CD
  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture and integration testing
  • Experience building test frameworks and regression automation suites
  • Exposure to virtual validation or cloud-based testing setups

What Makes You Eligible

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in automotive embedded validation
  • Strong debugging and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in cross-functional and global teams
  • Experience delivering validation for production automotive systems
