Inside Sales and Backup (CDL) Driver
Evanston, WY
Monday through Friday daytime hours.

Airgas operates a modern and efficient fleet. Most vehicles are under 6 years old and equipped with driver-friendly technology, such as On Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, latest camera technology and GPS navigation.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As a Inside Sales Associate, you will learn about all of the welding and safety equipment that Airgas sells and be able to help our customers select the best product for their needs.  You will also learn all about our many medical and industrial gases and assist in the production and distribution of these products.

In particular, you will: 

  • Provide excellent customer service to our walk in and remote customers

  • Sells industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding supplies and related equipment to customers 

  • Advises customers on equipment and materials needed and procedures to follow to complete tasks they wish to perform. 

  • Arranges for delivery of cylinders and hard-goods.  

  • Stocks and maintains showroom displays.

  • Drive a class B truck delivering goods to customers when the primary driver is unavailable.

Are you a MATCH? 

  • Class B CDL driver’s license preferred with HazMat endorsement. Hazmat can be obtained after the offer.

  • Ability to attend and complete truck driving school to obtain a Class B CDL (if a trainee)

  • Clean MVR.

  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

  • Computer skills or some knowledge of computer order entry systems.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76-125 lbs., with the aid of material handling equipment.

  • Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours. 

  • Must be able to work overtime, when necessary.

  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.

Safety is Our Passion. Airgas helps its drivers and the public share the roads safely so people and our product all arrive safe and sound.  Airgas follows the FMSCA requirement for all motor carrier employers to run full queries of the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse database for any violations during the pre-employment process for all new CDL Driver Hires to ensure they are not prohibited from performing safety-sensitive functions.  All new CDL Driver Hires must register for the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and allow Airgas consent to review their Clearinghouse record.
