We’re looking for an energetic Manager, Sales Development for our Retail team based in NOAM, to lead the Sales Development team, owning the first touch with new customers, developing lead qualification processes, and training the team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Sales, you will be continuously testing, analysing, and improving the lead qualification and demand generation strategies and processes. Working closely with the broader sales team to align our campaign messaging, lead qualification criteria, pipeline management, and tracking key metrics/reporting.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop the inbound and outbound sales funnels to effectively qualify potential leads to handover to our Account Executive team.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Sales to plan and execute Sales Development initiatives.
  • Coordinate training and development activities for the Sales Development team to improve their performance.
  • Monitor and optimise qualification, conversion, and lead assignment processes
  • Ensure time to contact is minimised to maximise conversion.
  • Develop outbound sales strategies to attract and recycle leads to build our field sales pipeline.
  • Develop lead scoring strategy to effectively provide feedback around lead quality and quantity to pass back to Sales and Marketing Directors.
  • Maximise the quality and quantity of qualified leads qualified into the AE pipeline
  • Collaborate with global managers to share ideas and develop strategies

  • Ensuring the team reach and exceed the Qualified Lead targets
  • Work with the entire Sales team to reach the overall team Net New MRR target
  • Effectively managing and developing your people to grow in their roles
  • Empowering leaders to support inbound and outbound sales development functions

What you need to bring:

We're looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:

  • Extensive people leadership experience, preferably in a Sales environment
  • Experience in devising sales strategies and driving results, particularly within a Sales environment
  • Expert communicator with the ability to build relationships with a variety of key internal stakeholders & teams
  • Proven ability to coach and develop staff members to improve their overall performance
  • Experience in a leadership role where you’ll take responsibility for team lead targets and providing coaching to team members
  • Relevant work experience in an industry like IT solutions, software sales, e-commerce, point of sale, retail or technology (preferred)
