Controller & Compliance Officer
Description -
Responsibilities
- Ensures local compliance requirements for the local subsidiary are met in accordance with law 30424 from 2017.
- Applies advanced subject matter knowledge, in particular related to Finance and Compliance requirements for Peru, and contributes to complex projects, and exercises independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies.
- Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements, establishing policies and provide training in particular related to Peru local compliance requirements
- Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and participates in cross-functional initiatives, providing insight into Peru’s local legal requirements.
- Represents the Compliance function during cross-regional or cross-functional planning processes.
- Provides support and guidance to respond to local requirements, partnering with other internal organizations and external vendors.
- Collaborates with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
- Represents the organization to external customers, stakeholders and clients.
- Develops and builds productive internal/external working relationships and provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.
Education and Experience Required
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in financial management, internal audit, accounting, compliance, or a related field.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
