Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems, ensuring the seamless operation of essential applications and systems. You will engage in proactive monitoring and maintenance, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of business processes while adapting to the evolving needs of the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME.
- Collaborate and manage the team to perform.
--Install, configure, patch, and maintain Oracle Exadata systems
-Manage Oracle RAC, ASM disk groups, and Clusterware/Grid Infrastructure
-Perform performance tuning using AWR, ASH, and Exadata-specific features (e.g., Smart Scan, IORM)
-Configure and maintain Oracle Data Guard for HA and DR solutions
-Execute Exadata patching on compute nodes, storage cells, and grid infrastructure
-Monitor and manage Exadata Storage Servers using CellCLI and dcli
-Automate operational tasks using Shell scripts, Ansible, or OEM Job Framework
-Support Exadata Cloud Customer or Exadata Cloud Service environments in OCI
-Conduct backups and restores using RMAN, integrated with ZDLRA or cloud storage
-Perform health checks using Exachk, analyze system logs, and participate in incident resolution
-Work with cross-functional teams on infrastructure, application, and cloud projects
-Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and system architecture diagrams
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Exadata Administration, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Administration, Ansible on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of database management and optimization techniques.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata (X5–X10)
-Proficient in managing Oracle RAC clusters, ASM, and Exadata Storage Cells
-Experience with Exadata patching, CellCLI, dcli, and dbmcli
-Expertise in Data Guard setup, monitoring, and failover
-Strong SQL performance tuning and understanding of Smart Scan, IORM, and HCC (Hybrid Columnar Compression)
-Experience in Oracle database cloning, migration, and capacity planning
-Familiarity with Exadata health checks, Exachk, and diagnostics tools
-Understanding of Exadata in OCI and hybrid environments
-Need to work in 24/7 Shifts
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Exadata Administration.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
