Summary of Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Control Systems Engineering Co-op to join our team. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be involved in the development of control systems and mechatronic systems for various consumer product applications.

Essential Functions

  • Design, develop, and test control systems for consumer product applications.
  • Develop and maintain control system documentation, including functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement control solutions.
  • Design and program control systems using programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and C++.
  • Develop and implement control algorithms such as classical control (e.g., PID) and advanced control (e.g., MPC) for real-time control applications.
  • Design and implement control systems using Arduino and other microcontrollers.

Education and Experience

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of control system theory and design, including classical control and advanced control.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and C++.
  • Experience with Arduino and other microcontrollers.
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems and automation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
