What you will do:
Johnson Controls has a phenomenal opportunity for Sr. Business Process Lead. You will be responsible for leading all Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Adoption including all Global Products Business Units.  You will be the PLM business lead for PLM projects and will also be responsible for PLM training and run support. 

How you will do it:

You will support day-to-day training and support activities, under the guidance of the Manager for PLM Adoption. This role involves close collaboration with business users and PLM IT Partners, and significant coordination with PLM leadership, including IT Leaders, Program Management Leaders, and Executives.

Training Development and Delivery: Create training artifacts, deliver training sessions, and develop job aids.

Business Process: Own the business process work in one of the following areas: CAD Data Management, Parts Management, Change Management, Manufacturing Process Planning, and Configuration Management.

Strategy and Roadmap Development: Work with the Platform Lead to develop, refine, and coordinate the JCI PLM strategy and technology roadmap. This includes optimizing global engineering product development tools such as PLM, CAD platforms, CAD Data Management, requirements management, and simulation tools.

Leadership and Support: Lead and support business activities necessary to design, develop, test, train, and deploy the JCI PLM System as per the agreed GP PLM/CAD Strategy and Roadmap.


 

  • Own the development and delivery for PLM training for new users.

  • Serve as the Business Lead and focal point for the deployment of PLM in one or more of the following areas: CAD Data Management, Parts Management, Change Management, Manufacturing Process Planning, and Configuration Management.

  • Participate in Process Workstreams to ensure business requirements are addressed and included,

  • Participate in Technical Workstreams to ensure business needs are addressed,

  • Attend and represent in recurring PLM meetings and discussions,

  • Participate in the development of new technical capabilities (infrastructure, integration, migration, etc.)

  • Support Data Migration of legacy data from source to target systems.

  • Participate in the development of UAT test plans and approaches.

  • Manage and ensure the timely development of training curriculum and content via leadership of the PLM Training Lead.

  • Participate in the develop Organizational Change Management (OCM) Plan, Process and Collateral.

  • Work with the PLM Team to develop and communicate best practices and standards.

  • Promote the development of PLM and CAD enhancements to facilitate continuous improvement. Captures product development best practices and develops a SME knowledge database for sharing and reuse,

  • Instantiates a process and system to capture lessons learned for input into SME knowledge database

  • Research new (or new to GP) tools, modules, functionality, & processes. Develop recommendations and assist in business case development.

  • Possibly lead other Business Analysts, he/she and the team will work with the business to analyze, prioritize, categorize, and document business needs.  Grow and manage a team of PLM Business Analysts supporting sites around the world.

  • Responsible for detailing business processes and collecting data on challenges and pain points.

What we look for:


Required

  • Strong collaboration with the global GP PLM Team including the JCI PLM Program Director, IT Technical Lead, the Lead Business Rep and the Business IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM).

  • Thorough understanding of use case development, test planning, and test execution.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience.

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience with PLM systems preferably PTC Windchill.

  • Current technical knowledge and skills relative to business requirements and state of the art information technologies.

  • Create training courses and job aids on different delivery platforms such as WhatFix.

Preferred

  • Prior experience with CAD Data Management in PLM and PLM-ERP process integration.

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus

  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Snowflake

  • Understanding of CM2 change management principles
