Overall Objective of the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team working on our cloud native product suite. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, have worked on cloud-native technologies, and have a willingness to learn new technologies. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a team player with a strong sense of ownership of your work and a passion for working in a data-driven organization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of cloud native products and services for our Kubernetes product ecosystem.
  • Learn and collaborate with the team to design and implement the product roadmap. 
  • Support Cloud infrastructure deployments using our partner’s products, including troubleshooting and problem resolution. 
  • Continuously monitor and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of our product line.

 

Requirements

Must have: 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field. 
  • Experience with programming in Python, Golang (preferred). 
  • 3-8 years of experience in a software development role.
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals with willingness to learn and build products in the cloud computing and virtualization space. 
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
  • Developing distributed systems and SaaS products.
  • Should be conversant with essentials of data networking.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Being a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a highly dynamic environment.

Nice to have: 

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
  • Prior experience with OpenStack/DevStack.
