Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm

NON-REMOTE POSITION
 

Job Summary:

You must live within the geographic area of Louisville, KY to report to the office daily.


This position Supports U.S. districts through coordination and communication conducted with the customer and the districts regarding distressed/held shipments and hazmat compliance issues. 

Responsibilities:

  • Receives hazmat non-compliant package violations from U.S. districts.
  • Validate and log the customer violations and contact the customer and UPS Sales Representative to inform them of the issue.
  • Assist to determine the applicable corrective measures and coordinate a resolution for held/distressed packages.
  • Monitor the number of violations received by the customer and report to management excessive violations and those that pose a high safety risk.
  • Coordinate the suspension/cancellations of a customer’s hazmat or pickup service due to issues of non-compliance.  

Qualifications:

  • Must work well in a customer service environment.
  • Have a positive attitude, strong customer service skills and experience.
  • Good written (email etiquette) and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Additional Skills:

  • Dangerous Goods Acceptance Auditor or other Dangerous Goods function specific training.
  • Knowledge of UPS operations and systems such as HMMS, iGATE, BIA, IVP and CRIS.
  • Knowledge of the 49 CFR, ICAO/IATA, UPS hazmat procedures, and UPS Carrier Variations.
