Position Overview

As the Data Analyst LC, you will be part of the License Compliance Analytics team within Global License Compliance Sales. Our team is instrumental in supporting the global organization by detecting and addressing non-compliant usage of Autodesk’s software. We build the bridge between other data-oriented teams and the business-focused end-user. Our team has a lot of visibility, and the impact of our work can directly be related to business results. In this role, your primary focus is on data discovery and analysis: You will analyze large and complex datasets to identify new lead source potential or enhancements for our Sales teams. Your work will be crucial to prepare decisions on how to move forward with new data by providing insights on addressable potential. You will work closely with the Business Analysts on your team on how to turn ideas into actionable data. You will be partnering closely with other analysts and data & analytics engineers.

To be successful and impactful in the role, you need to be able to understand business questions in the same way as you understand data and analytical methods. You need to have a high degree of accountability, pragmatism, and adaptability. Since many times, you will explore new data sets, you also need to be able to find creative solutions for challenging data-oriented questions.

The position reports to the Sr Manager LC Business Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Closely collaborate with Business Analytics Project Owners to drive the execution of analytical projects, based on business requirements

  • Access, understand, query and transform large, heterogenous, primarily in cloud-based data warehouse services

  • Perform data discoveries to identify relevant patterns for the identified use cases within the project

  • Prepare and present meaningful analysis and data insights to the project team as well as partners in the technical/analytical community

  • Summarize and visualize your findings and recommendations in clear and concise business language that enables decisions for the next actions

  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers and data product owners to discuss the approach and to gain understanding of the data

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years with relevant experience required as data analyst or similar field

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proactive working style with an ability to find creative solutions to data-oriented problems

  • 2+ years experience writing advanced SQL statements to query and transform data, using cloud-based data warehouse services like Snowflake

  • 2+ years demonstrated experience with understanding business requirements from functions like sales, marketing and business analytics

  • Excellent communication skills in English language, both written and verbal

  • Ability to manage long term projects and ad hoc requests in parallel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in in transforming data with scripting tools such as Python

  • Experience in visualizing data insights with business intelligence systems such as PowerBI or Tableau

  • Experience in transforming and extracting data from Hive
