The Interventional Glaucoma Manager promotes, grows and supports activity and the development of direct selective laser trabeculoplasty for glaucoma in ophthalmology clinics. The position will be responsible for the delivery of expert consultation and training regarding Alcon’s direct selective laser trabeculoplasty (DSLT) for glaucoma. Specifically, the position will evolve the clinic workflow​ while training Ophthalmologists, technicians and staff and identifying patients for such procedure. Also, the Interventional Glaucoma Manager will develop and maintain relationships with Ophthalmologists, technicians, staff, and administrators and represent the Alcon Surgical Glaucoma portfolio to enable the best possible patient outcomes and achieve quota targets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Achieve assigned sales quota annually
  • Utilize marketing tools and resources to establish a concentrated plan for growth for glaucoma treatments with Ophthalmologists, technicians, and staff and their use of Alcon’s direct selective laser trabeculoplasty
  • Ability to plan and successfully complete equipment demo presentations with targeted clinics, Ophthalmologist, technicians ​and staff
  • As assigned by Surgical Glaucoma Division Manager, coordinates and leads educational presentations with Ophthalmologist, technicians, and staff, clinics regarding direct selective laser trabeculoplasty
  • Work synergistically with all other Alcon sales personnel in efforts to strengthen Alcon portfolio
  • Demonstrate an independent and consultative value-based sales approach to selling advanced technology clinic equipment, and patient education programs
  • Coordinates with Surgical Glaucoma Manager and Clinical Application Specialists for proficiency training
  • Represents Alcon relationships by supporting key decision makers and establishing communication with Ophthalmologists, technicians, and staff in clinic settings to support patient outcomes
  • Attend direct selective laser trabeculoplasty treatment procedures and demonstrates strong technical and clinical abilities to discuss and perform product in-services
  • Collaborates with the entire Alcon Surgical Glaucoma team to enhance and further the entire Alcon Surgical Glaucoma Portfolio
  • Evolve Interventional Glaucoma with Ophthalmologists, technicians, and staff and associate to Alcon Surgical Glaucoma Portfolio
  • Demonstrates scientific/clinical/technical differentiation, presentation skills, team-centered, drive results

What you will bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Proven Experience

Territory: VA, MD, SC, NC, TN, KY and District of Columbia. Preferred candidate will be located in Virginia or Maryland
