Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineering Co-op is responsible for supporting a Value Stream (manufacturing business unit) to meet issues relating to Safety, Delivery, Quality, Productivity and Continuous Improvement, creating an optimized process.

You will be a valued asset to the Manufacturing Engineering team at Mold-Masters where you will have the opportunity to partner with and learn from our experienced engineering team through your assignments and project work.
What You’ll Do:
Maintain Value Stream Map, Lean roadmap, and lean road map action plan for assigned Value Stream
Review feasibility studies of manufacturing processes for assigned Value Streams to improve production efficiency and reduce manufacturing labour costs, material and overhead costs
Update and maintain plant layout for assigned Value Stream
Assist in the day-to-day operations required by the Production Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, and Lead Hands as required
Review, monitor and report on assigned Value Stream OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) to identify areas of opportunity to task improvements
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering undergraduate program
Superior organization skills essential in working on multiple projects and meeting deadlines
Motivated self-starter with hands-on work ethic is essential to working with the Value Stream
A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS office programs (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio) & in AutoCAD (plant layouts)
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of CAD Software such as SOLIDWORKS / AutoCAD
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of robotics and automation
