The Senior People and Culture Advisor NZ and PI is responsible for supporting and implementing the people plan, initiatives, programs and procedures for the New Zealand & Pacific Island region, across the Qantas and Jetconnect entities. Supported by the People & Culture Manager, this role will partner with leaders across both entities to ensure the growth, development and engagement of employees, and provide day-to-day people support to employees and leaders; such as policy and processes, recruitment, conduct and performance management, attendance management, people analytics and contractual administration.
This role is pivotal support to the local People and Culture team, providing support as required on anything from the cyclic People activities, case management, Collective Bargaining and the roll-out of local training programs.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Tertiary qualifications in business, HR/IR or related discipline
Professional HR experience (3-5 years) within a large industrial environment
Experience in facilitating performance management, investigation and disciplinary processes
A customer-centric, proactive work ethic with a strong continuous improvement focus
Previous experience interpreting and carrying out functional activities in line with HR policy and procedures, and Collective Agreements
Strong computer skills with demonstrated experience with various HR Information Systems (e.g. Workday)
Exceptional stakeholder management with the ability to build strong working relationships with customers through the delivery of timely and efficient case management advice.
