Mainframe Developer / Technical Lead

Job Summary 

Mainframe developers play a critical role in managing and maintaining large-scale computing systems that are essential for many organizations. They ensure that these systems run smoothly and efficiently, handling everything from coding to troubleshooting.

   
Responsibilities and Duties 

• Participate in requirement gathering, design, development, and support of Mainframe based application with both batch and online portion.
• Extensive experience in migration projects from mainframe 3270 screen to modern HTML and Java script based online screens using CICS in the background.
• Working knowledge of minimum 1 year into PATTERN is preferred
• Working knowledge of investor system
• Ability to develop technical design from functional specifications
• Ability to do impact analysis for given functional / technical design
• Ability to create High level and low-level design / estimation
• Ability to create test plan and capability for Coding/Unit and Integration /system testing
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills with good Analytical and logical reasoning is mandatory.

• Banking or Insurance or Mortgage Loan Servicing business area knowledge would be helpful. 

Qualifications and Skills 

• Software Development Experience 10-12 years
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or equivalent
• 6+ years of total IT work experience
• 6+ years of experience into Mainframe application development and migration using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, PATTERN, Scheduler, Pivot and relevant tool
• Minimum 4+ years of working experience into Mortgage Servicing system including good exposure to investor system is preferred but not mandatory
• Mature design, coding, testing and debugging skills
• A proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues and having the determination to follow things through.
• Excellent prioritization and time management.
• The ability to present and absorb complex ideas quickly and accurately.
• An ability to balance multiple time-critical tasks at the same time.
• Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of programming requirements based on project schedules
• Required to work directly with SQA teams to provide support and defect resolution

  UG: Any Graduate - Computer Specialization Required
