The Clinical Program Manager provides leadership and coordination for a growing ECMO and Extracorporeal Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (ECPR) program caring for critically ill patients with cardiogenic shock and cardiac arrest. This role supports a high-acuity service that manages complex adult and pediatric ECMO patients, including transfers from across the United States, and plays a key role in expanding out-of-hospital ECPR services 


A caregiver in this position works variable shifts, from 8:00am—4:30pm. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

 

  • Ensure priorities are established for primary and comprehensive clinical program development. 

  • Develop, build, manage and support program development and activities. 

  • Manage operations associated with external clinical management systems. 

  • Investigate issues and concerns related to performance measure compliance to determine root cause. 

  • Oversee and coordinate activities for applicable committees and/or councils which manage clinical program activity enterprise wide. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field 

  • Current state licensure as an RN or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) 

  • 5 years of experience with appropriate patient population and/or quality management projects, systems development or related experience 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Master's Degree 

  • ECMO experience 


Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.

  • Will require periods of sitting, standing and the ability to travel to various locations throughout the Cleveland Clinic; must have normal or corrected vision to normal range, ability to clearly communicate verbally.

  • Sedentary Work -; Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

  • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

  • Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
