$22.90 - $34.35

Job Summary: Oversees the day-to-day administrative function of the department/office. These include, but are not limited to secretarial support, information resources, medical records management, reception and patient scheduling and general office work. May supervise other team members

Essential Functions

  • Assists leadership with projects as requested.
  • Performs general clerical duties which may include record keeping, filing, supply inventory, ordering of office supplies and incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Initiates and maintains accurate files for data, patient records, patient charges, correspondence and business functions.
  • Uses computer software programs for spreadsheets, patient billing, and any other documentation entry that is required.
  • Maintains and stores medical records as per policy.
  • Communicates with physicians, team members, patients, and significant others are required to meet the needs of the patients, team members, and department.
  • Inputs data, assuring information in both areas is identical. Runs reports from the data base as requested.

Physical Requirements

  • Works in a fast paced office environment with various time deadlines.
  • Requires long periods of sitting, manual dexterity and use of computer terminals.
  • Requires adequate vision to read.


Education, Experience and Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years Medical Office experience required.
  • Computer skills to include the ability to use Word processing, data base and spreadsheet software as well as navigate the internet.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize, delegate and follow-up required.
