I.T. Asset Management Coordinator | Contract Employment

The I.T. Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for sourcing IT related goods and services for Five9 at the best value regarding quality and price. Additional duties of this position include assisting the analysis and preparation of purchasing requisitions and working closely with upper management teams as well as outside vendors to meet project and operations requirements.

The Coordinator will also be responsible for evaluating suppliers to find the best deals possible on goods that are needed for business operations. The position allows for participation in global projects, providing an opportunity for the individual to collaborate with colleagues from other Five9 sites. The position will require off-hours support, with occasional weekends and evenings as necessary.

Major Responsibilities:

• Serve as the main point of contact for the sourcing and procurement of IT hardware and software within the IT organization
• Works to establish standard operating procedures for the maintain & tracking of IT owned assets throughout the entire lifecycle and assists ensuring these procedures are followed
• Compares prices amongst various vendors to make sound purchasing decisions
• Works within a given budget to purchase goods and services for an organization
• Ensures that products are delivered in a timely manner, and that the quality of the goods received is satisfactory
• Negotiates with contractors on price, mode of shipping, and delivery time
• Orders goods on a continuing basis to maintain necessary inventory levels
• Checks invoices for accuracy, and authorizes the accounts payable department to issue payment
• Evaluates the performance of certain vendors to decide whether to continue buying from them
• Works with various IT teams and members to communicate Inventory levels to determine which ones need to be purchased
• Enters data concerning inventory and order amounts into a computer database
• Assist in fulfilling and provisioning IT hardware, software, and associated services to end users
• Coordinate the monitoring, purchasing, and transferring of stock of inventory on-hand in the various IT supply rooms
• Uphold licenses, warranties, and service agreements for IT owned software.
• Works with various IT team and member to preform audits and inventory reviews
• Reviews and assigns service requests and ensures established workflows and standard operating procedures are being adhered to in services delivery
• Identify opportunities for and participates in process improvements
• Assist with the Audit of IT Subscription based software
• Research ideas and solutions to improve the tracking of inventory and assets within Five9
• Performs related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements:

• CAN START ASAP 
• Amenable to work 30 hours shift per week or 6 hours per day 
• Amenable to work on US Pacific Time
• Software - MS Office, FreshService or ServiceNow ITSM and or Jira 
• Possesses strong negotiation skills
• Has good verbal communications skills
• Is timely in following up on contracts and checking on backordered items
• Can stay within a given budget
• Has good math skills and is quickly able to calculate the cost of goods and services
• Is trustworthy and does not abuse authority or misappropriate funds
• English speaking and writing are a requirement
