Job Description

Support engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Assists in the construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Use manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.

Your Responsibilities

• Help develop and implement automated test solutions for final assemblies and large systems.
• Help build and wiring test fixtures, control enclosures, and mechanical assemblies.
• Perform soldering and PCBA assembly tasks as part of test solution construction.
• Procure and track parts using SAP, gaining experience in inventory systems.
• Create documentation for test systems, including:
  • Test specifications
  • System Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • User guides for long-term support
• Contribute to CAD documentation using Autodesk tools.
• Lead lab organization and 5S activities to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
• Collaborate with test engineers and plant teams to ensure testing and troubleshooting.

The Essentials – You Will Have

• Technical education (up to 2 years); Associate Degree.
• Approximately 3 years of experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of electronic hardware design and mechanical design concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsft Office.

The Preferred – You Might Also Have

• Experience with CAD tools, especially Autodesk.
• Familiarity with lab organization and continuous improvement practices.
• Occasional travel may be required (less than 10%), including possible international trips.
