Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Patient Support Associate for our busy Medical Group Urogynecology and Female Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery division located at the Skokie ACC in Skokie IL. This is a full-time position (40 hrs/wk) and is benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled/rotated Monday through Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 pm, Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Answer all incoming telephone calls from patients, physicians, and other departments and handle each as appropriate in accordance with NorthShore telephone customer service standards and practice protocols including documenting in Epic telephone encounters
  • Utilize Epic to schedule and register all new, established, and post-procedure patients in accordance with patient and physician preferences, physician availability, and practice protocols
  • Obtain prior authorization for procedures
  • Review provider templates
  • Provide other administrative support under the direction of the Physicians and Practice Manager

Qualifications:

  • 1 – 2 years in an administrative/customer service position, EPIC knowledge and experience preferred
