Director of Quality Management and Improvement - Maryland Market

Job Description:

Director of Quality Management and Improvement

  • Monday -Friday 9 am - 5:30 pm EST

  • Candidate MUST be a resident of Maryland

  • This position is hybrid. Candidate must be willing to report to the office a minimum of 1 day a week.

Responsible for the oversight of all Quality Management functions and activities.

How you will make an impact:

  • Primary contributor to new business strategy, program innovation, program development, system reform and improvement strategies.

  • Key partner in ongoing contractual relations with government, multiple state agencies and provider organizations.

  • Oversight of data visualization program inclusive of external and internal dashboards.

  • Subject matter expert on program implementation, health equity, data analysis, housing systems and homeless management.

  • Manages Academic partnerships inclusive of product development strategy and professional publications.

  • Directs all research, data analytics and program evaluation activities. Directs solutions related to analysis of the data.

  • Oversees the implementation of new initiatives. Leads interactions with regulators or oversight entities.

  • Oversees quality improvement activities for the largest, most complex state programs.

  • Manages portfolio of measure development and programs, and interventions.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS in a health or business-related field and 10 years of Quality strategic experience, preferably in a healthcare environment, including prior management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree strongly preferred.

  • PhD strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of cross-functional operational experience, three (3) of which using Contractor’s System strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in QA of Medicare/Medicaid coverage and reimbursement regulations and compliance strongly preferred.

  • Licensed in the area of Behavioral Health STRONGLY preferred.

  • Clinical Quality Management experience in a Managed Care Organization preferred.

  • Population health management and/or clinical quality program development experience preferred.
