Fizz is the dominant social platform for Gen-Z to connect with their immediate communities.
Students can post questions, memes, polls, and chat with other verified students while maintaining control over their identity and privacy. Fizz communities prioritize safety, authenticity, and inclusion through community-based moderation. Our mission is to redefine the “social network” in a time when legacy platforms lack authenticity and are filled with curated highlight reels.
What we’ve done
Founded by two Stanford dropouts, Fizz was first launched at Stanford in July 2021 and has seen >95%+ of undergraduates join the app, more than half of which use Fizz every day. We raised a $25M Series B in July 2023 and have established ourselves as the dominant community platform at 250+ colleges across the nation.
Where we’re going
We are in the process of rapidly expanding to all US universities by the end of the 2024-2025 academic school year. We are also experimenting with new monetization opportunities, having recently executed brand partnerships with Fortune 500 companies. Finally, Fizz is also focused on continually improving our content moderation policies to protect our users and define our brand as the safest, most authentic social platform.
About the role
Fizz’s first Strategy & BizOps leader will focus on growing these monetization opportunities while also owning key parts of our brand, content moderation, and overall product strategy. The ideal candidate will be a strong problem solver with a passion for product and an intuitive empathy for users. This is a generalist role with the opportunity to grow into a core leader of Fizz. This is a 100% onsite role based out of our Palo Alto, CA office.
