Job Description

Summary

The Experience Design UI produces consistent, high-quality craft that influences the visual expression of a product, service or brand through the expectations of its users. They study trends and patterns, design systems and micro-interactions while also understanding and fostering adherence to technological feasibility.

Responsibilities

  • Generate human-centered recommendations and concepts using design thinking methods
  • Relish in the craft of design systems, interface designs, icon systems, animations/transitions, micro-transactions, sound design and crafting clickable prototypes
  • Passionately and curiously study user-centered design principles
  • Understand both user needs and client goals
  • Support and participates in user testing
  • Collaborate with UX/Behavioral and Copywriter/Story to execute design vision

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in design, visual communication, human-centered design or related field strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years industry experience
  • Experience in eCommerce (Shopify is a big plus)
  • Experience in user-centered design methods and techniques
  • Experience in interface design, specifically for mobile, responsive design and platform-based solutions
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing, and advertising
  • Proficient with design tools such as Figma (a must) for designing and prototyping solutions
