The Refine Analyst plays a crucial role in the management and optimization of outside refining operations across multiple locations. This position is designed for an analytical and detail-oriented professional who will support the organization in achieving its refining goals through effective vendor management, data analysis, and compliance oversight. The Refine Analyst will work closely with various internal teams, including operations, quality control, finance, and procurement, to ensure that refining processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

Support for Outside Refining Management

  • Assist in the management of outside refining services across various locations.
  • Provide analytical support for the organization’s outside refining needs.
  • Help manage materials requiring outside refining services and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Vendor Relationship Management

  • Act as a point of contact for outside vendor inquiries and information needs.
  • Maintain an updated vendor list for all process streams, identifying primary and secondary vendors.
    • Assist in implementing and managing supplier performance evaluation tools.
    • Monitor ongoing refinements, addressing issues, investigating variances, and managing timelines as needed.
    • Support the development of protocols for third-party representation and assist in obtaining vendor quotes for new materials.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Conduct regular reporting and analysis on settlements, variances, and costs associated with materials and processes.
  • Analyze performance data related to third-party representation and vendor evaluations.
  • Assist in assessing outside refining costs in relation to overall operational impacts and returns.

Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with various internal teams to enhance operational processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to operations and technology.
  • Travel as needed to support vendor relationships and operational needs.


 

Pay Range:

$77,300.00 - $115,900.00

Actual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on Materion’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with Materion’s business requirements.
