The LexisNexis Coplogic Ethos technology team creates next-generation law enforcement citation and crash data capture solutions.  Our team interacts with law enforcement agencies to solve and create customized capture and workflows on our Ethos platform, along with data routing to state and records management systems.   Our platform consists of mobile and desktop user interfaces with cloud-based services.  
 

Our team seeks an experienced QA Engineer III to support our customer pipeline by delivering high-quality implementations. 

Preferred candidates will have:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 to 5 years of QA Test Engineering experience
  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies.
  • Experience in React Native and React JS
  • Experience with testing Web and Mobile Apps (iOS, Android)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop automated tests using any Selenium or similar scripting language/framework.  
  • Working experience in .NET and Java
  • Experience in writing database queries (SQL)
  • Experience in Cloud technologies (AWS)
  • Experience testing web services and APIs using Postman, Swagger, RestAssured, SoapUI tools, etc.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools like Github.
  • Knowledge of security testing practices and tools, including OWASP standards.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Automated and Performance Testing: Develop and execute automated and performance testing for assigned projects, ensuring the successful and consistent delivery of high-quality software products and services on time, within budget, and to specification. Collaborate with Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to plan testing for product delivery and enhancements, ensuring all product requirements and quality standards are met.
  • Smoke and SEV Scenario Coverage: Ensure comprehensive coverage of all smoke scenarios in testing processes. Capture, document, and create test cases for SEV (Severity) scenarios to ensure critical issues are addressed promptly and thoroughly.
  • Adaptability: Maintain flexibility to react swiftly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with QA/Testing staff, project managers, technical leads, and subject matter experts in planning, executing, and ensuring comprehensive testing coverage, including smoke and SEV scenarios.
  • Tool Evaluation and Implementation: Research available tools and participate in initiatives to implement those that enhance testing capabilities and product quality cost-effectively.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Collaborate with architects, developers, and network/system engineers to research and identify root causes of performance issues, ensuring these are thoroughly documented and addressed.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends and emerging developments that could benefit the organization and enhance testing practices.
  • Methodology Enhancement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of methodologies used for test planning and execution, defect tracking, and metric and status reporting.
  • Audit Compliance: Maintain a robust framework for record retention to support internal and external IT audits, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
  • Cross-Team Quality Assurance: Work across teams to enhance quality assurance/testing practices, and develop and execute performance and automation testing throughout the business, ensuring smoke and SEV scenarios are prioritized.
