This leader will guide a multidisciplinary engineering team supporting advanced technology development, systems design, and space-ground solutions. The selected candidate will set vision, strategy, and implementation plans while ensuring technical excellence and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture aligned with Boeing’s mission and values.

As part of Boeing’s innovative and agile Phantom Works division, the SBMC2 team delivers cutting-edge mission systems and capabilities. This position reports to senior leadership and is responsible for overseeing a team of engineers and first-line managers in the Colorado Springs area.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide technical and personnel leadership for systems engineering teams across multiple programs
Develop and execute integrated plans, policies, and procedures aligned with business and technical objectives
Drive process improvement, resource allocation, and supplier technical oversight
Ensure effective collaboration with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners
Oversee and approve systems engineering approaches, tools, products, and technical processes
Foster an inclusive and psychologically safe work environment where safety, quality, and innovation thrive
Mentor, coach, and develop high-performing individuals and teams

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or related technical discipline
5+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams or projects
Product development and systems engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience across the full lifecycle of systems development
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage high-performance teams and resolve team performance challenges
Prior experience with Model-based systems engineering (MBSE), Internal Research and Development (IRAD), and digital engineering environments
Previous management experience and demonstrated leadership outcomes
