This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Coordinated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Join a small, skilled team and help coordinate the movement of aerospace hardware and equipment for spaceflight systems. Collaborate with different teams to ensure compliance and efficient manufacturing processes. Contribute to the history of space exploration with your dedicated attention to safety and repeatability.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with all relevant Blue Origin departments to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials, parts, consumables, and tooling to and from the appropriate work centers.
  • Enforce the completion of work center buyoffs prior to moving hardware to the next work center.
  • Ensure hardware and equipment are accurately staged for inter-plant transportation/movement.
  • Cross-reference and confirm that part quantity, part number, serial number, labeling, and routing sheets persist with hardware throughout plant movements.
  • Ensure inventory movements are accurately transacted.
  • Contribute to zero-defect philosophy by raising observed non-conformance or design/manufacturing issues that deviate from the nominal process.
  • Support inventory deviation investigations found within work centers.
  • Participate in production meetings to communicate part status information to management/leadership.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient process flow by contributing to the development/refinement of queuing software.
  • Move hardware safely to all locations in the surrounding area. This includes driving a 26’ box truck to warehouse, production, and testing facilities and securing loads within the vehicle.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position.
  • Willingness to apply powered lifting equipment, jib, crane, or hoists.
  • Must be open to working all required shift hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.).
  • Prior experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic industries.
  • Experience in coordinating files and documents.
